There was a fire scare at the Lagos State secretariat, Alausa today, Wednesday, May 04, 2016 at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The fire which broke out at the accounts office, which is on the ground floor of the said Ministry left workers in panic as people scampered to safety. The fire was however contained with no casualty recorded.
The extent of damage, or cause of the fire has not been determined but occupants of other offices on the block confirmed to www.metronaija.com that the secretariat had been suffering from lack of electricity for two days before power was restored today which led to speculation that the fire could have been caused by a power surge.
