Unknown gunmen yesterday killed three persons, including an elderly man, a pastor and an aide to the caretaker committee chairman of Asari-Toru local government area of Rivers State, Sonoma Jackrich.
The elderly man and the pastor, who is of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement (LCCRM) were killed in Osuomini community of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area.
Godknows Babadiba, who is an aide to Jackrich, was killed in Buguma, headquarters of Asari-Toru local government area.
The pastor was reportedly attacked and killed on his way to a night vigil, while the elderly man was killed at his residence.
Confirming the incident, caretaker committee chairman of Asari-Toru local government area, Jackrich, described his aide as an easy-going fellow, pointing out that the victim was not a politician.
