Abia state police parades suspected armed rubbers.
The Police have paraded some suspected armed robbers and car snatching syndicate in Abia State, southeast Nigeria.
Items recovered from the suspects by the Abia State Police Command include a Lexus Jeep, a Toyota Camry car, locally made pistols, handbags amongst others.
While briefing reporters in Umuahia, the Abia State Commissioner of Police, Habila Joshak, said that the suspects met their Waterloo when a patrol team of the command mounted up a surveillance during one of their operations after a tip off.
Mr Joshak explained that on sighting the Police, the suspects opened up fire while the security agents outwitted them, saying the driver of the Toyota Camry hit an electric pole and died while reversing.
He noted that the command has mapped out strategy that would checkmate the activities of criminals in Abia State.
The Police Commissioner called on the public to give useful information about questionable characters and suspicious activities around their vicinity
