Three boarding school students from
Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary in
Agunfoye-Lugbusi village in Lagos State
were abducted by gunmen at around 8pm
on Monday night.
The Lagos State Police confirmed the report, but
there are claims that more than three students
were abducted, according to The Punch.
“We are working on their rescue,” police
spokesperson Dolapo Badmus told members of
the media.
Lagos State Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni
and a team of detectives remained on the school
premises until 4am on Tuesday morning.
The Nation reports that the kidnappers are
suspected to be dislodged pipeline vandals and
were able to enter the school premises by
breaking the fence surrounding it.
