blasted minister of state for petroleum
resources, Ibe Kachikwu, for saying he was not
a magician and that Nigerians should not
expect the scarcity of petrol to abate until
May.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos, on
Saturday said the minister was answerable to
Nigerians and not the other way round.
In the statement titled, ‘Kachikwu Needs to
Know That Respect and Good Performance Will
Do What Magic Cannot,’ Tinubu said he
believed a member of the President
Muhammadu Buhari-led government “has
strayed from the progressive calling required of
this administration.”
Following Tinubu’s statement,Nigerians have
taken to Twitter to react. Many of them said he
should call out President Buhari instead of
Kachikwu. They pointed out that Kachikwu is
just taking orders and thus Buhari should be
blamed for the scarcity of petrol.
