Every year Corpses Are removed from there grave in This Indonesian Village -

Every culture has it's own rituals and traditions
for honoring the dead. However, in most places
once people are dead they stay buried.

This isn't
the case in the Indonesia village of Toraja.

The
dead are brought back into the world of the living
in a strange and fascinating way.

1. Every year, the dead are taken
out of their graves,cleaned up,
given a new set of clothes and
cared for.

2. The ritual is practiced with
everyone in the village, even
babies and children who have died.

3. The ceremony is called
'Ma'nene' which means The
Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses.
