At least 26 people died in an explosion that
occurred at a bus station in Kano Tuesday.

Witnesses said 20 people, including 18
passengers, the driver and conductor of a bus,
all died in addition to six militants.

Three of the militants, who detonated their
explosives were killed instantly, while another
three who attempted to run but were caught
and set alight.

The Kano state Commissioner of Police,
Ibrahim Idris, had earlier confirmed the death
of 12 persons, including two suicide bombers,
in today’s bomb attack on Kano Line Motor
Park on Zaria Road, Kano.

He did not say how many people were
injured.
