Lagos - The Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) has successfully helped an
American woman recover $2 000 she had lost
to a suspected Nigerian fraudster in a romance
scam.
Benjamin Akugbe, the alleged fraudster had
defrauded Margaret Sanders based in Sherman,
Texas.
Sanders, through a petition dated July 9, 2013
alleged that she entered into a relationship on
Facebook, with someone who claimed to be
Benny Brown from Warri, Delta State, with both
agreeing to get married.
