The Imo State Police Command at about
9 30am today detonated 2 bombs planted
under a palm tree 10 metres away from
the Imo State Independent Electoral
Commission (INEC) office.
According to an eye witness account, a
loud noise was heard from where the
bomb was planted , in front of the Owerri
Capital Development Agency(OCDA).
When LEADERSHIP visited the scene at
about 11 am, there was a very heavy
presence of security the police and its
bomb squad department who condoned
off the entire area along Owerri/
Portharcourt road.
