The presidential campaign train of the All
Progressive’s Congress (APC) on Friday arrived
moved into Abia and Ebonyi States, with General
Muhammadu Buhari reiterating in Aba his
commitment to the provision of infrastructure,
particularly power, in order to rejuvenate the
economy of the city.

At the rally in Aba, which was anchored by
Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the first
Executive Governor of Abia State, Ogbonnaya
Onu, described the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) as “a doctor that has been unable to treat
an infection for 16 years.”

He advised the crowd about the importance of
voting in the APC so as to bring about positive
change in the state and country.

“We cannot afford to put all our eggs in one
basket,” he said, referring to the PDP.

Other speakers at the event included the former
governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chris Ngige,
Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and APC
National Chairman John Oyegun.

The APC presidential campaign, which kicked off
on Tuesday in Port Harcourt state, led by APC
Presidential Candidate Muhammadu Buhari and
his running mate Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has
continued at a measured pace through Cross
River, Imo, Delta, Edo and Bayelsa.

During the Abia visit, General Buhari paid a
courtesy visit upon HRMajesty Ezei A Ikonne
Enyi of Aba, who named him as Muhammadu
Okechukwu Buhari and also conferred on him the
title Ogbuagu 1 (the Lion-Killer) of Aba on him.

Also speaking at the rally was Governor Rochas
Okorocha of Imo State, who described the Buhari
as “an enemy to those who steal government
money.”

From Abia, the campaign train moved into
Abakaliki, in Ebonyi State.
