American civil rights lawyer, Gloria Allred,
introduced three women who have come
forward for the first time to accuse Bill Cosby
of sexual assault.
First of all, Gloria criticized actress, Phylicia
Rashad, who played Cosby's wife on "The
Cosby Show," for her recent statements in
support of Bill Cosby. In response to Phylicia
comment that the public should disregard
Cosby's accusers and "forget those women,"
Allred said:
Phylicia, I vow to you that I will not forget
these women, because women matter. They
deserve respect and dignity. Phylicia, you
should be supporting these women rather
than joining Cosby's paid "attack dogs" who
are trying to undermine them in any way
they can.
Accompanying Gloria were three women
introduced as Linda Kirkpatrick, Lynn Neal
and "Kacey." Each woman read a statement,
describing their experiences with Cosby in
great detail, but declining to take any
questions. The stories all followed the familiar
patterns of grooming, drugging and then
assault that have characterized all of the
accusations against the famous comedian.
According toTMZ;
Linda Kirkpatrick says she met Cosby in 1981
when she was 25. She claims she met Cosby
playing tennis at a club in Vegas, and Cosby
invited her to a party in his hotel room .She
claims he gave her a drink and she woke up a
short time later to find Cosby on top of her,
kissing her. She claims Cosby apologized the
next day. She went to his hotel room again
and he tried to hug and kiss her.
Lynn Neal claims she met Cosby in her 20s,
also at a tennis club. She says the two went
out to dinner and he ordered a shot of vodka
for her. After that she became
disoriented. Shel claims Cosby took her cloths
off and began having sex with her and says
Cosby talked about an orgasm being like a
thermostat building up pressure.
The third accuser, Kacey, says she met Cosby
while working at William Morris for Cosby's
personal appearance manager. She says their
professional relationship soon became
personal. Kacey claims they were at lunch in
his bungalow at the Bel Air Hotel and he
insisted she take a pill. She did, and claims
she passed out and woke up in bed with
Cosby, who was naked.
This scandal embodies the phrase that ‘your
past can still hurt you’. Meanwhile, the
lawyer , Gloria Allred believes that arbitration
or mediation -- a closed door, confidential
negotiation between Cosby, his accusers and a
retired judge would be an attractive option for
him, but Cosby’s team have not accepted
neither options.
