Ogun Police Kill Four, Arrest Five Suspected Kidnappers.

The Ogun State Police Command says it has
killed four and arrested five members of a
suspected notorious kidnapping syndicate that
have been terrorizing residents in the Ijebu axis of
the state.

Parading the suspects, the State Commissioner of
Police, Mr Ikemefuna Okoye, said that the
suspected kidnappers were arrested by the
Special Anti Robbery Squad after a gun duel with
Police while trying to evade arrest.

He said that four out of the nine members of the
gang lost their lives during the encounter.

Some of the suspects, while responding to
questions from journalists, however, confessed to
the crime.

Items recovered from the suspects include two
cars, pistols, cartridges, identity card, charms
among others
