In the aftermath of rising Boko Haram
attacks in some parts of Adamawa State, the
government on Saturday imposed a curfew
on every part of the state.
Though there has been curfew in some parts
of the State especially in Mubi, Mararaba
Mubi and Uba, which were recently overrun
by the insurgents, the state government was
left with no other choice but to impose a
blanket curfew on the state.
The government made the declaration in a
press statement signed and issued by the
Secretary to the State government, Hon
Ibrahim Welye.
According to the statement, the curfew will
now commence from 9pm to 5am daily. It
also stated that those on essential services
and with permit are allowed to carry out
their duties.
“All citizens and security operatives are
please advised to comply strictly with these
directives”, it stated.
