Four accused Persons were today arraigned
before a Magistrate Court sitting at Oke Eda in
Akure for allegedly destroying plantain suckers
worth N500.000 at Irese community.
The accused were: Daniel Oni, Rabiatu Adeniyi,
Boyode Alabi and Onifade Dayo.
According to the Police Prosecutor, ASP Isah
Atenegbe, the accused persons and others at
large forcefully gained entrance into the land of
one Prince Sunday Fayan at Irese and caused a
breach of peace by destroying his plantain
suckers on the 26 of June 2014.
Atanegbe said the offences contravenes
sections 517, 81, and 451of the criminal code
cap 37 vol.1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria
2006.
While the accused pleaded guilty to the counts
charge, their counsel, Yemi Salau begged the
court to free his clients on bail in liberal terms.
Ruling on the case, Magistrate Victoria
Bobmanuel granted the accused persons bail in
the sum of N100,000 and one surety in like sum
each.
Bobmaneul, however, adjourned the case till
next week Tuesday (18 November) for hearing.
