It has information about deadly virus and how
to prevent them. It has First Aid corner which
summarises instructions on first aid. It also has
email and phone contacts to report health issue
and to communicate our doctors. There is also
Google map integration with clear address to
help local general hospitals in Lagos and their
addresses and phone numbers.
"The application, which is available on
on Google play through - http://goo.gl/WVTvzn
- has a fascinating tab on theological views on
health. The prospects of the application
includes the ability of reducing health problem.
It is a platform for health education.
Also, President of Muslim Students Association
of Nigeria, UNILAG branch, Mr. Mu'Sodiq
Farouq said the application was developed to
show the prowess of students in Information
Technology.
He urged that Nigerian youths if given the
opportunity and right environment would return
the country into its pride of place among
African nations.
The 400-level Electrical Electronics Engineering
student said, "Earlier, the Muslim youths were
the forerunners in science and technology and
they opened the gate for the renaissance of
science and technological civilisation in the
world. It is this spirit that UNILAG-MSSN
wishes to solve one of the worlds challenges
with ICT and this time we chose health.
"The application is standard and can compete
favourably among it contemporaries. Our team
was headed by a student who is a Microsoft
certified technology specialist; nominee, best
use of technology of the 2009 Nigeria Future
